This young buffalo calf, born this year, is trying to figure out how all this herd business works. There is a lot to learn: who can be approached safely, who you must watch out for, and most important (after learning who mom is) who will be the most fun to play with. This encounter with a slightly older calf is one of those steps that must be taken to acquire the knowledge needed to be a proper herd member.
