Fall is rapidly on its way. The aspens are signaling that it won't be long now before the snow storms will blow in and make this entire valley a very hard place to be for its inhabitants. But right now Soda Butte Creek is running strongly to join the Lamar river at the confluence, it is warm out, the grass has turned that special color of gold, and all seems right in the world.
