Warm heart, Warm feet
I've always wondered if ducks and geese got cold feet from standing on the ice the way they do. Don't they have nerves in their feet? Well, I still don't know if they get cold feet but it seems that their feet get warm enough to melt the ice they are standing on, as seen in this picture. It is just barely above freezing yet these quietly waiting ducks have small puddles forming around their feet and the puddles got bigger as I stood and watched them.
