Fast Track - Road Runner

One of the many other birds found in the refuge is the road runner. The Southwest desert is their home and they can often be seen hurrying here and there, always at breakneck speed. This one seemed to be using the railroad tracks as it's own private speedway and disappeared down it's length moments after this picture was taken. If you see one of these guys shoot first as they won't be in the same spot when you look again.
