I am the greatest - Sandhill Crane displaying

This splendid fellow was announcing to all that would listen, his amazing prowess, his exceptional virtue and his cleverness at being a Sandhill crane and not some other less significant bird. When he did not get the response he felt he warranted, he began leaping further and further out of the water and emitting even louder proclamations until finally giving up in disgust to stalk off and sulk by himself.
