Moon Over the Flight Deck

I timed my visit to the refuge for the first week of December as that was the time when the moon would be full and visible early enough in the evening to allow for pictures to be taken. This shot was made just as the moon came up over the flight deck. It was already very cold with the temperature heading down below freezing again. I set up my equipment hoping to get an image of a flock of Snow geese coming home and crossing in front of the moon. After a long cold wait I was rewarded with this image and as an added bonus there were groups of birds in the moon's reflection on the surface of the water, completing my favorite image of the trip.
