France 016 - Golden art deco entryway- Paris hotel

One of the real pleasures of wandering around Paris is finding the unexpected. It was nearly noon and we were looking for a restaurant when we came upon the entryway of this small hotel. The sensuous, glorious colors cast by the chandeliers, the glow of the dark wood, stopped us in our tracks. This is one of those sights that gets burned into your memory so that you can see it exactly as it was years later. I always wanted to go back and shoot this again after dark but never did. Another reason we need to go back to Paris.
