Faces of Paris is a series within a series of the total images from France where I found interesting faces and people and wanted to include them in my presentation.

France 143 - Red umbrella

Here it was the last day of our three week stay. The weather had been wonderful, hot and humid sometimes, but always good light and perfect for traveling. We had visited our friends and seen the sights and gradually began to remember that we lived in the US and had a home and family there and should probably be getting back to them. Our bags were packed and we were waiting for the cab to take us to the airport. As we talked about our trip and tried not to get too maudlin about leaving I happened to look out our hotel window and noticed that a gentle rain had begun to fall, the very first of our trip. A woman with a red umbrella was slowly walking, enjoying the rain, probably going home. Taking that as our cue, we went too.
