This sculpture is based on the courtship habits of these elusive splendid animals. As they are fiercely independant and solitary creatures, rarely observed during this time, imagination comes into play and one can believe that the mating ritual that occurs between them is brief, intense and filled with danger. This is a representation of the first chance encounter that decides if nature will take its course and a new generation will come forth. View 4.
