Rainbow rising is another piece that started out as a woodcarving and became a bronze. It is a life-size rainbow trout rising to the surface to take a fly, either natural or man-made, your choice. This piece has a beautiful patina representing the natural colors of the fish, which is extremely difficult to do to get the right look. If you look closely at the full size image you will see that I have used an actual taxidermy glass eye in this work to make it even more realistic.
