The collector is a highly detailed wood carving made from a single block of wood except for the antlers. They are made from laminating very thin pieces of wood into a rough shape then carving them to their final detail. A process that is as difficult as it is time consuming. This piece is called the collector as it is a Bull Elk in full rut trying to add to his harem. The carved alabaster base he is walking across represents a snow field and the natural coloring in the stone adds to the realism.

Wood, alabaster. Dimensions approx.: 23"W 17" H 10" D
