First Rays of the sun

The first rays of the sun are a deep yellow at Bosque del Apache. The earliest birds, silouetted here in the morning light leaving for their feedng grounds, are Snow Geese. Dawn arrives quickly and before long the sky will be filled with thousands upon thousands of birds.
